From the Alocai "ModelWiz Dashboard", project managers and their teams can have more control over their ModelWiz accounts for their projects on MemoQ without the need to contact an ALOCAI member. With this dashboard:
- Users can create all the MT accounts (credentials) required for each project.
- Users can record the ModelWiz language pairs onboarded to the project.
- Users can access the "Prompts Manager" to select preliminary prompts per each language and integrate them with the ModelWiz plugin on memoQ.
- Users can access the "Prompts Manager" to integrate personalized prompts with the ModelWiz plugin on memoQ.
Before setting up your "ModelWiz Dashboard" view, it’s important to verify that in the "Overview" section the information is updated. Under Main project members, you would need to check if the main names are correct since those two users will receive the email communication related to prompts integration.
To access the "ModelWiz Dashboard" users require to have one of the following user roles.
All the following users can access the tool by default besides that they can provide access to other users:
- Admin
- Project Manager
- Linguistic Coordinator
The following users require to be provided with the access to the dashboard:
- Linguist (internal team member)
- External vendors
Users from the Client Portal (game studio developers or publishers) cannot access this tab.
As Project Manager or Coordinator, you decide when is better for a linguist / translator to select the criteria for the ModelWiz languages. For this reason, only the linguists you approve can access the “ModelWiz” tab.
💭 If a linguist is requested to select the criteria of a specific language, make sure they were onboarded on your ModelWiz project before being able to grant them access and share this article with them.
1. Login to the Alocai platform.
2. Open your existing project.
3. On the project page, click on the tab “Overview”.
4. On the Teams section on the right, you will find a rounded icon with MW logo next to the linguist code.
5. Hover on the icon to see the text Grant access to ModelWiz. If the access was already granted, the text will appear as Remove access to ModelWiz.
6. Click on the icon. The icon turns on to the enabled mode meaning that the linguist is able to access the “ModelWiz” tab. You can remove access for the user at any time by clicking again the icon.
If an internal linguist has a role different from Linguist or External Linguist on ALOCAI (for example, Project Manager or Linguistic Coordinator), the MW icon will not be visible since they already have full access.
When creating new ModelWiz accounts (also known as credentials)?
All the users with the following user role can generate credentials:
- Admin
- Project Manager
- Linguistic Coordinator
Follow these steps for creating a new account:
1. In the “ModelWiz” tab, you will see the Credentials section.
2. Click on the button Generate new.
3. Introduce an account name. For instance, “Project Name Marketing”, “Project Name In-game”, “Project Name General”.
4. Introduce the username of your credentials (__________@alocai.com).
Must be 30 characters or less.
Make sure that the local part or username can be easily identified by your team on memoQ. We recommend including your project name or project code as part of the username + the type of content. E.g. Outlanders in-game content would be outlanders_in_game@alocai.com.
💭 ModelWiz credentials consist of an email and a password. It doesn’t mean that you need to have an Alocai email account linked to these credentials. We use this domain to standardize the credentials generated for ModelWiz.
5. Click on Generate.
6. On the confirmation window, click Download.
💭 Please note that we do not display your password and downloading your new credentials is a 1-time action.
7. The .txt file downloaded contains your email and password. Save this file in a secure location.
If you fail to download the credentials and for some reason close the window, you need to contact Alocai to request your password. Please contact Alocai if you want to remove deprecated credentials or credentials created by mistake.
8. Now, you can add your credentials to the ModelWiz plugin on memoQ and start pre-translating.

Adding the MT languages with ModelWiz is required if you want to select the language-specific criteria from the "Prompts Manager". The selection of these languages is exclusively related to ModelWiz and not to all the languages you have for your entire project.
1. Add your target languages from the dropdown.
2. You can add more languages at any time.
💭 Don’t forget to keep this list updated to be able to configure the criteria per language from the "Prompts Manager".
Once you performed the preliminary settings of your ModelWiz account(s), you can open the "Prompts Manager" and select the criteria desired per account and per language.
